1.Parties and Purpose

African Outback Adventures establishes this Privacy Policy to inform users of the website hosted at the following address: www.africanoutbackadventures.com (hereinafter the “Site”), regarding the collection and processing of personal data by African Outback Adventures.
The term “User” refers to any user, either any natural or legal person, who visits or interacts in any way with the Site.
As such, African Outback Adventures determines all the technical, legal, and organizational means and purposes of processing Users’ personal data. To this end, African Outback Adventures undertakes to take all necessary measures to ensure the processing of personal data in accordance with the Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and the European Regulation of 26 April 2016 on the protection of personal data with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation).
African Outback Adventures is free to choose any natural or legal person who processes the personal data of users at his or her request and on his/her behalf (hereinafter the “Subcontractor”). Where appropriate, African Outback Adventures undertakes to select a Subcontractor offering sufficient guarantees as to technical and organizational security measures for the processing of personal data, under the Act and the Regulation.
2.Processing of Personal Data
Users may use the Site, which may result in the communication of personal data. The processing of such data by African Outback Adventures, in its capacity as controller, or by providers acting in the name and on behalf of African Outback Adventures, will be in accordance with the Act and the Regulations.
Personal data will be processed by African Outback Adventures, in accordance with the purposes mentioned below, via:
The newsletter registration form, the sending of free content, the sending of surveys for the purpose of improving the service provided by African Outback Adventures.
3.Purpose of Processing Personal Data
In accordance with Article 13 of the Regulation, the purposes of processing personal data are communicated to the User and are as follows: improvement of the services offered.
4.Personal Data that May be Processed
The User consents, during the visit and during the use of the Site, to African Outback Adventures collecting and processing, in accordance with the manner and principles described in this Privacy Policy, the following personal data:
- First name, last name, email address for people who want to subscribe to the newsletter.
- First name, last name, email address, postal address, bank details, and more generally any personal data voluntarily provided by the customer, with a view to ensuring the delivery of the service under the best conditions.
- For each user visits to the site, the information automatically collected is: IP address, browser type and model, time zone, operating system; as well as all information on the pages that the user has viewed on the site, including the URL, the browsing time, the route made on the site.
5. Consent
By accessing and using the Site, the User declares that he has read and agreed freely, specifically, informed and unambiguously to the processing of personal data concerning him. This agreement covers the content of this Privacy Policy.
Consent is given by the positive act by which the User ticked the box proposing the Privacy Policy in hyperlink. This consent is an essential condition for carrying out certain transactions on the Site or for allowing the User to enter into a contractual relationship with African Outback Adventures. Any contract between African Outback Adventures and a User relating to the services and goods offered on the Site is subject to the User’s acceptance of the Privacy Policy.
The User consents to the Processing Manager to process and collect, in accordance with the terms and principles contained in this Privacy Policy, his/her personal data, which he/she communicates on the Site or on the occasion of the services offered by African Outback Adventures, for the purposes stated above.
The User has the right to withdraw his consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent shall not compromise the lawfulness of the treatment based on prior consent.
6.Retention Period of Users’ Personal Data
In accordance with Article 13(2) of the Regulation and the Law, the Data Controller shall retain personal data only for the time reasonably necessary to enable the purposes for which they are processed to be fulfilled.
This period is in all cases less than: 5 years.
7.Target Authorized Data and Disclosure to Third Parties
Personal data may be transmitted to African Outback Adventures’ employees, collaborators, subcontractors or suppliers who offer adequate data security guarantees, and who collaborate with African Outback Adventures in the marketing of products or the provision of services. They act under the direct authority of African Outback Adventures, including the collection, processing or subcontracting of such data.
In all cases, recipients of the data and those to whom such data have been disclosed shall respect the content of this Privacy Policy. African Outback Adventures ensures that they will process this data only for the intended purposes, discreetly and securely.
In the event that the data are disclosed to third parties for direct marketing or prospecting purposes, the User will be informed in advance for its consent to the use of such personal data.
8.Rights of Users

A. Right of Access
In accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation, African Outback Adventures guarantees the right of access to the User’s personal data. The User has the right to obtain access to such personal data and the following information:
- The purposes of the processing; the categories of personal data concerned;
- Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated, in particular the recipients who are established in third countries or international organizations;
- Where possible, the envisaged duration of the personal data retention or, where this is not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
- The existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, as referred to in Article 22(1) and (4) of the Regulation, and at least in such cases, relevant information concerning the underlying logic and the expected importance and consequences of such processing for the data subject.
The Processor may require the payment of reasonable fees based on administrative costs for any additional copies requested by the User.
When the User submits the request by electronic means (e.g. via the e-mail address), the information is provided in a commonly used electronic form, unless the User requests otherwise.
Copies of his data will be communicated to the User at the latest within one month of receipt of the request.
B.Right to Rectification
African Outback Adventures guarantees the right to rectification and erasure of personal data to the user.
In accordance with Article 16 of the Regulation, incorrect, inaccurate or irrelevant data may be corrected or erased at any time. The User shall first make the necessary changes from his/her user account/other, unless they cannot be made autonomously, in which case the request may be made to African Outback Adventures.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the Data Controller shall notify each addressee to whom the personal data have been communicated of any rectification of personal data unless such communication proves impossible or requires disproportionate efforts. The controller shall provide the data subject with information on those recipients if the data subject so requests.
C.Right to Erasure
The User has the right to obtain the erasure of his personal data as soon as possible in the cases listed in Article 17 of the Regulation.
Where the Data Controller has made the personal data public and is obliged to delete them under the previous paragraph, the Data Controller, taking into account the available technologies and the costs of implementation, shall take reasonable measures, including of a technical nature, to inform the other controllers who process such personal data that the data subject has requested the erasure by those controllers of any link to such personal data.
The two preceding paragraphs shall not apply to the extent that such treatment is necessary:
- The exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information;
- To comply with a legal obligation which requires the treatment provided for by Union law or by the law of the Member State to which the controller is subject, or to carry out a task in the public interest or responsibility for the exercise of the public authority vested in the controller;
- The establishment, exercise or defence of legal rights.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the controller shall notify each recipient to whom the personal data have been communicated any erasure of personal data or any restriction of processing carried out unless such communication proves impossible or requires disproportionate efforts. The controller shall provide the data subject with information on those recipients if the data subject so requests.
D.Right to Limit Treatmen
The User has the right to obtain the limitation of the processing of his personal data in the cases listed in Article 19 of the Regulation.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Regulation, the controller notifies each addressee to whom the personal data have been communicated any limitation of the processing carried out, unless such a communication proves impossible or requires disproportionate efforts. The controller shall provide the data subject with information on those recipients if the data subject so requests.
E.Right of Data Portability
In accordance with Article 20 of the Regulation, Users shall have the right to receive from African Outback Adventures personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Users have the right to transmit this data to another controller without African Outback Adventures obstructing the data in the cases provided for in the Regulation.
When the User exercises his right to data portability in accordance with the preceding paragraph, he shall have the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another, where technically possible.
The exercise of the right of data portability shall be without prejudice to the right to erasure. This right shall not apply to the processing necessary for the performance of a task of public interest or falling within the scope of the public authority vested in the controller.
The right of data portability shall not affect the rights and freedoms of third parties.
F.Right to Object and Automated Individual Decision-Making
The User has the right at any time to object to the processing of his personal data because of his particular situation, including the automation of the data carried out by African Outback Adventures. In accordance with Article 21 of the Regulation, African Outback Adventures will no longer process personal data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which prevail over the interests and rights and freedoms of the User, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal rights.
Where personal data are processed for prospecting purposes, the User has the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data relating to him for such prospecting purposes, including profiling in so far as he is linked to such prospecting.
Where the data subject objects to the processing for prospecting purposes, personal data shall no longer be processed for those purposes.
G.Right of Complaint
The User has the right to lodge a complaint concerning the processing of his personal data by African Outback Adventures with the Data Protection Authority, competent for French territory.
The User may also lodge a complaint with the court of first instance of his domicile.
9 Cookies
The Site uses cookies to distinguish Users from the Site. This provides Users with a better browsing experience and an improvement of the Site and its content. The purposes and modalities of cookies are contained in this article.
A.General Principles
A “Cookie” is a file temporarily or permanently deposited on the hard disk of the User when visiting the Website, for subsequent connection. Thanks to cookies, the server recognizes the user’s computer.

10 Limitation of Liability of the Controller
The website may contain links to other websites owned by third parties not linked to African Outback Adventures. The content of these sites and their compliance with the Act and the Regulations are not the responsibility of African Outback Adventures.
The holder of parental authority must give his express consent so that the minor under the age of 16 can disclose personal information or data on the Internet site. African Outback Adventures strongly advises persons exercising parental authority over minors to promote the responsible and secure use of the Internet. The Data Controller may not be held liable for having collected and processed personal information and data of minors under the age of 16 whose consent is not effectively covered by that of their legal parents or for incorrect data, in particular concerning the age, entered by minors. Under no circumstances will personal data be processed by the Data Controller if the User specifies that he is under 16 years of age.
African Outback Adventures is not responsible for the loss, corruption or theft of personal data caused in particular by the presence of viruses or as a result of computer attacks.
11 Security
The Data Processor shall implement organizational and technical measures to ensure an appropriate level of safety for data processing and collection. These security measures depend on the costs of implementation in relation to the nature, context and purposes of the processing of personal data. The Processor is responsible for using standard encryption technologies within the IT sector when transferring or collecting data on the Site.
12 Amendment to the Privacy Policy
African Outback Adventures reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy to comply with the legal obligations in this regard. The user is therefore invited to consult the Privacy Policy regularly in order to read the changes and adaptations. Such a change will be posted on the Site or sent by e-mail for the purpose of third-party effectiveness.
13 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed exclusively by French law. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of the judicial district of the African Outback Adventures headquarters.
