African Outback Adventures is a mobile safari & car hire company from South Luangwa in Eastern Zambia, with over 14 years operating in Zambia and 30+ years of 4WD experience.

We are owner-run, so when you enquire, plan or travel, you deal directly with me. I personally travel many of the routes we offer each year. The advice you receive is practical, honest and based on real conditions.

We offer guided mobile safari, supported self-drive tour or fully equipped 4×4 rentals combining iconic wildlife destinations with adventurous routes within Zambia and Malawi mostly.

Local guides within the parks and camps provide specialist wildlife knowledge, while I focus on overall route planning, logistics, and ensuring the journey runs smoothly.

Our off the beaten track safaris can be customised to your preferences. Choosing from our pre-set routes or getting a bespoke itinerary? Full mobile camping experience or accommodated when possible? This is entirely up to you!
